As I’ve spouted on Twitter numerous times over the last couple weeks, I’d like to once again offer my apologies to Chip Hale and my doubt in the direction of the program.

As many know, I was a Chip Hale denier; I hated the hire from the moment it was announced. I found myself questioning recruiting ability, in-game coaching decisions, and roster management quite often. It became quite apparent that I was very wrong in my criticism of this coaching hire and program management.

Don’t get this twisted either, this isn’t Jay Johnson’s roster anymore. This is Coach Hale’s roster. These are his guys. To make a College World Series is incredibly difficult, you have to have the right pieces. The roster has numerous future professional players on it and talent is not something they lack.

Recruiting has been exciting. Year after year players are brought in with pro potential and the Cats have owned in-state recruiting. The class they currently have signed also possesses multiple exciting players with pro potential. Recruiting has been very good.

All in all, I wrote this piece to put pen to paper. I have no issues with admitting I was wrong, unlike some Arizona twitter users. Maybe one day I’ll finally be unblocked by the Arizona Baseball X account. But I’ll say it one more time for the people in the back:

My Bad Chip.
