Most recruits think of visiting the Hollywood Hills of USC and UCLA or the beaches of The U in Miami. Damn near none of them are exited about visiting Tech’s campus surrounded by dirt, oil fields, and cotton fields.
But thanks to the NIL, schools can now use a big ol’ bag of money to bring you to areas of the country that is an eyesore to most and has no life in the city outside of dive bars and campus life.
Texas Tech had a monster turnout in commits and the transfer portal with the help of biggg Texas Oil money. Also, I can’t confirm, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Tech has also had the help of Alum NFL MVP/Super Bowl champ Patrick Mahomes.
Texas Tech is the sleeper team of the BIG12 Conference this year (based off transfers and commits). With multiple 5 star recruits and the #2 transfer portal roster coming in, don’t be shocked if they are playoff material right away!
