By Charlie Creme Updated: 11/18/2025 at 8:15 a.m. ETThe top six teams have remained the same for two straight weeks. The rest of the top 16, however, has seen a whirlwind of change. Some of the movement is slight, but there are also major waves. Bracketology will capture all of those shifting tides with weekly updates each Tuesday.

Bracket WatchTop Overall SeedUConnFirst Team OutGeorgiaLast Team InBelmontIt was a bad week for the ACC, which suffered big drops in the bracket. Notre Dame was blown out by Michigan. NC State couldn’t handle TCU’s length at home. Duke fell to a West Virginia team with only five players for the second half. Much of the movement in the top 16 is the free fall of ACC teams. The Irish and Blue Devils are out of the top 16. The Wolfpack are barely hanging on at No. 16 overall. North Carolina fell from a No. 3 to a No. 4 seed after losing by 18 to UCLA in Las Vegas. While the SEC put six teams in the top 16, the ACC is down to a pair of No. 4 seeds. These losses don’t just hurt now; they will greatly impact the resumes of these teams come March and how the wins and losses to conference opponents are perceived when league play begins. NC State has lost two of its three meaningful nonconference games. Notre Dame has some more opportunities upcoming, including hosting USC this weekend, but it might take an upset of UConn to erase a 39-point loss to the Wolverines. The ACC/SEC Challenge in the first week of December now becomes extremely important.
