After falling into a 2-1 deficit in their second-round series against the San Antonio Spurs, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ NBA Finals odds have lengthened back out to long shot levels at 100-1, closer to what they had following their key injuries in the first round and a significant departure from the 40-1 they had prior to Friday’s Game 3. San Antonio shortened from +425 to +320 with the victory.
The New York Knicks maintained the third spot on the championship odds board and shortened to +700 after taking a 3-0 series lead against the Philadelphia 76ers, who are massive long shots at 500-1. The Oklahoma City Thunder remain the odds-on title favorite at -160 and an enormous -20000 favorite to win their series against the Los Angeles Lakers, who are also 500-1 for the championship.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers got back into their series against the Detroit Pistons with a key win Saturday, improving them to 45-1 from 60-1 for the title. Detroit took a small step back to 18-1 from 15-1.
